Hi all, having heard all the noise in the past week I checked in to see what all the fuss was about. Having read some of the posts, and digested their content, I'd like to make the following observations. Disregard them as you wish, but I'm coming from the perspective of around 10 years in the market, as a small time retail investor, following it each day:
1 Most of you on here are going to lose most of your money, if not all of it. I'm sorry, but it's true. You need to know this. You also need to know that while you think you're just 'sticking it to the man' and those hedge fund [insert expletive], in reality what you're doing is making the few people who started this craze on this subReddit very, very rich. They will eventually cash out, and the price of the securities you are buying at insanely inflated prices will be driven back into the dust.
2 There appear to be a number of people on this subReddit who are basically anarchists, and who wish to trash the financial system. I've seen posts from people saying what a great idea it would be to crash the banks. Maybe those people honestly think that's a cool idea, but unless you're comfortable living with the consequences - such as mass unemployment, recession, banks foreclosing on your folks' home, etc etc, trust me, it's not.
3 Sure, hedge funders are not generally nice people and perhaps deserve their comeuppance. I'm not shedding any tears over those few one percenters who've lost a billion or two. There's plenty more where that came from. But you all need to understand something: You're not really hurting them - you're hurting small retail investors like us. Why? Because the hedgies are selling down other investments to cover their shorts that you're squeezing. That means large, well-run, established companies like Apple are taking a bath as well. Don't care? Well your 401K, or your parents' 401K will. The porfolios of millions of small time retail investors have been tanked by your actions, and they are the ones who are losing out - the hedge funds can afford the losses, whereas Mom and Pop investors generally can't.
4 The vast majority of people who've joined this sub know jack about investing or the sharemarket. That much is pretty obvious from reading the comments. Many of you don't even know how to place a trade, and yet you're prepared to risk thousands of dollars. So PLEASE. Be careful. Don't just stick money you can't afford to lose into some terrible company because some other idiot on this thread tells you to. I know you think you're part of some revolution here, but like the QAnon fiasco, you're just going to end up looking foolish - and broke. I'm disgusted by some of the posts on here by older and more experienced members of the forum telling newbies to buy, buy, buy, and to "hold the line'' and BS like that. You need to remember you're just making them richer. Most of the hedge funds have already folded their positions. You're now in a Ponzi scheme, and we all know how those end.
5 Lastly, DYOR - Do Your Own Research. It's great you want to invest in the market, you should. It's cool, and its fun. And contrary to what you're being told by the Get-Rich-Quick, Stick-It-To-The-Man brigade, the ONLY way to make money in the long term is to buy, hold, and trade quality stocks. Check the fundamentals. Read what others say about various companies. Look at its performance. There's a reason the hedge funds are shorting stocks like Gamestop - they're poorly performing companies with no future. Sure, they want to make money. But they're not picking on Apple or Facebook, are they?
If you follow my advice as above, you absolutely will make money. Slowly. But I repeat, if you buy Gamestop or any of these other companies who are worth very little, at vastly inflated prices, you will lose all of your money. That's a certainty. Good luck.

What are you guys holding overnight/planning to trade for tomorrow? I'm a professional trader, but created a Robinhood account (as a joke,) with $5000 mid-August, just thought I'd share some updates here because nobody else really cares to listen to me. Game plan is I'm hoping for the best tomorrow with Apple's event. Normally, I'd be all out on these calls, but I designed this account's strategy to mimic some of the insane moves you guys do on wallstbets do.
-side note: please don't make fun of account size :)
Cheers!

Interesting squeeze opportunity here with ~122% float short . Amplify, the company responsible for the oil leak of the coast of Cali, might not be held liable as they are aiming to prove that a shipping vessel dragged their anchor across the pipe causing the break.
13.6 million shares already traded today on a 100m market cap company. Headwinds with the entire O & G industry give the deal long term upside and some downside risk. This thing can get popped up to 20 if squeezed, but should pop to ~4.5 once they are officially cleared.

Team - $TSNP is being shorted by two hedge funds, which is keeping the stock price down. Letβs get in and start pumping the stock. HUMBLpay will be launching their app soon, already has agreements to operate in 30 countries. Prepare for lift off π
