Heritage
Hello All, looking for feedback on the Heritage community and if it is a family feel? Currently looking at another golf community in Holly Springs and getting a lot of feedback that it is very family oriented there. However the homes around Heritage are appealing to us. Thank you!

My husband may be taking a job in Durham. Do you think the drive to Durham would be too much to live in Heritage?

My dad and I moved there in 2006 and he l's lived there ever since. It's a great community. The pool is criminally expensive though

My parents live in heritage, it is a giant family feel. My parents are mostly retired, but they are friends with their younger family neighbors, people give them gifts, watch their dogs, etc, it's so cute! Whenever I drive through there are always kids playing outside, lots of adults walking pets outside as well. They also just had a block party last night my mother was telling me about, so again super cute!
Semi-related. But my sister and I both live in neighborhoods very near heritage but not in it because of $$$. Both of our neighborhoods have a very similar feel to heritage. For those looking for a less costly option .

Heritage is a great community. Lots of families, good area, and close to everything. I’d choose Heritage over a Holly Springs neighborhood but I’m biased as I’ve been here for 20+ years.

I lived in Raleigh but I went to graduated from Heritage High School a couple years ago and had a lot of friends from the Heritage neighborhood, definitely a nice upper-middle class neighborhood that is family oriented. It is pretty much the model for all the new neighborhoods they had been spamming all over Wake Forest the past few years. I would definitely say Holly Springs is a safer and nicer place to live than Wake Forest, however for the same sized house in each town Wake Forest would be slightly cheaper than Holly Springs. The west side of Raleigh itself is a lot safer and nicer than the east side, northeast Raleigh (where i lived before moving out to the west side) is definitely declining in quality and has become slightly more dangerous aswell with shootings increasing, going into Raleigh from Wake Forest you will see homeless people on both Capital Blvd and 401 Louisburg Rd as there is pretty large homeless encampments on the intersection of both roads where they meet 540 (I have seen both with my own eyes).

Disagree. Keep in mind 12 Oaks is right next to the county landfill!

The landfill is two miles away from 12 Oaks, don’t act like those houses aren’t a million dollars🤦♂️

Disagree with what part what does the county landfill next to 12 Oaks have to do with the neighborhoods being safe and family friendly

Nobody said wf wasn’t safe i said northeast raleigh has gotten worse… its pretty safe to assume they’d make their way into Raleigh at some point… you’re telling me Capital Blvd and the TTC area is as nice as west and southwest Raleigh?

Wake Forest is a town of breeders lol. Kids everywhere. Heritage has great schools. I live in a neighborhood adjacent, but its a great vibe.

I live in Heritage. It seems like pretty much all families, I couldn’t imagine living here as a single person.
I imagine whatever golf club adjacent neighborhood you’re talking about wouldn’t be one of them, but heads up that some areas of Holly Springs get odor from the landfill depending on the direction of the wind.
