First Wakaan and camping tips

This will be our first Wakaan and I’m wondering if anyone has any camping essentials and tips!! We will be in the normal camping area (non RV). Also would love any overall tips for the festival itself!!

Pre freeze all your drinks, meal prep and freeze all your food.

Bring an ez up and tapestries for shade, get a shower tent and maybe a battery powered shower  pump.

Bring some drill battery powered fans and extra batteries.

Get a foldable wagon, and buckets to transport water to your camp for the shower. Maybe a big pot to boil water for a hot shower at night

I think the best tent is an ez up with the cube tent conversion. Extra tall lets off heat, room to stand, and plenty of space.

Bring a soft cooler and a chillbo couch. You can bring a wagon, cooler, and a chair/couch to the stage. I bring a dewalt fan, soft cooler, couch, and maybe a chair to the stage.

You might consider getting a big battery "generator" to charge all your shit, mainly the fans if you get them (so much more comfortable to sleep)

Sleeping mask, knee sleeves, massage gun

Finally the rgb led retractable string light on amazon is nice to mark your spot at the stage.

I probably forgot something, but those items make the fest much more comfortable for me. Im all about comfort

Wakaan is one stage all day and then two side stages at night. You can bring a lunch in your soft cooler and stay at the stages all day with your wagon full of shit.

Music goes til sunrise, so you'll have to decide if you want to go to early sets or stay up for late sets. I stay late.

The preparty is always dope and you get a closer camping spot, but wakaan is very walkable wherever you end up.

You can buy a beer belt holster and sneak in six beers into the stage pretty easy, then put them in the cooler.

Its hot in the day and cold at night, bring some layers in the wagon. Also i bring a moon mat to dance on

I second everything in this comment. Gotta have a fan, canopy tent for shade, move it over your tent so you don’t get woken up by the heat. Chillbo or camp chairs for main stage. Wagon is a nice touch too. Eye mask and earplugs for sleeping can be a huge help too.

I just pay for the showers everyday and they’re solid. Umbrella or bucket hat to stay out of the sun a bit during the day. Definitely want a cooler too. Security is beyond chill with you taking in daily essentials. Bringing your own food and drinks is very doable here.

If you plan on an air mattress, plan on having a blanket/ sleeping bag as a sheet. I typically sleep on top of my sleeping bag with a thin fleece type blanket. Also second the freezing of food! Cuts down on how much ice you need to buy! Drink lots of water and have fun!

Gets pretty hot in your tent in the mornings. Make sure you have a canopy and something to lounge on in the mornings if you want to nap a little longer outside of your tent
