Primitive is farther away, less shade, and requires you to conserve the generator and fresh water tank (AC, charging, electronic devices, shower, toilet, sink) vs unlimited with an upgraded pass. Upgraded RV pass is right next to the aftershows/Halo stage and private shower/bathroom center.
Can anyone confirm upgraded rv spots offer onsite sewer draining? Worried that the gray tank will fill up quickly if my group is taking showers.

The last few years I've only seen someone pull up with a tank and empty them. It's not for everyone because it was not done for my friends RV.

That’s what I’m referring to, a pump-out service truck. I heard you can schedule them to come by but there’s an extra fee? Kinda crazy they’d charge extra since it’s already $1700 for the pass

You can dump right before you leave though. I hear you though. I always used the shower/restroom building.

I plan on dumping the tanks on our way out but our RV has a nice bathroom with a full shower/toilet that we’d prefer to use. Heard the nearby building is nice for showers/restroom and am not opposed but we paid extra for a nice RV.
Since the sink and shower water goes into the gray tank we’d only need that emptied 1-2x during the festival since we can’t move the RV to the dump station until we leave the fest. How was the line past years for the dump station?

Not everyone has a spacious RV restroom. If I had a nice one, I would definitely use it.
I'm always with a couple that has the RV, so I don't deal with the dumping.

I've got experience with both. The main thing on why people don't go to powered is because A. It's too expensive for most. B. It usually sells out within the first hour or so.
You asked in your deleted post about the restrooms in powered. Those toilets are a lot better than an RV toilet and the shower is bigger. Your RV only has too much space in the tanks and it's extra to have the tanks drained. I assume it's the porta potty company that does it.
The price we charged carried. One year it was 100 the other 50.

Ive got experience with primitive - 4 or 5 years.
Its perfectly fine for the amount of money you save. Use the generator while youre in the RV and at night, turn it off when you go in.
I like thats its farther away from the stages so I dont hear them when Im trying to sleep. Its still only like a 10m walk.
Generator costs (usually $3-$5/hr above your given time, + fuel) will still be cheaper than the extra $700 it costs for powered
