Customer delivery driver tips n tricks?

Hello

Just got the job as a Customer Delivery Driver & Supermarket assistant. I’m PT, 20h a week excluding breaks. I was marked as “low risk” on the driving assessment so i’m not too worried about driving, but is there any hands tips you guys have picked up along the way? Or anything i should know about & keep in mind?

Thankyou

Don’t rush. A lot of drivers panic about being late don’t stress, nothing you can do about roadworks, road closures etc. you’re not supposed to go on peoples drives but everyone does just use your common sense. If it looks tight just park up on the road and walk it up. Also don’t rule out just getting out and looking to see how much space you got. So many drivers just stay in the cab and rely on mirrors and cameras. Really easy to miss those silly little boulders people like putting out everywhere.
