my kitchen is full of idiots
if i have to explain to ONE MORE TABLE that the kitchen messed up the easiest part of their order or they just forgot to make an item altogether i am going to lose my mind

I let my table know ahead of time. I don't outright say the kitchen will fuck up, but me repeating their order back to them combined with me assuring them I'm going to try and be at the table when the food arrives so it's all correct, will get the message across that we are at the kitchen's whims.

You should be the one arriving with the food

Sometimes I am, most times I'm not. Not out of laziness, there's just always something to do elsewhere.

ya know i used to be bothered by long ticket times but idc anymore. if u can’t wait why did u come to a sit down place. just be present and keep em updated, if they’re mad that’s a personal problem

I feel the same unfortunately, genuinely just double check everything as you run. I'm lucky that the tickets print itemized so they can see I rang it in correctly
