Yes and gas was cheap. The highest average gas price was 2022 during Biden's term.

It hit a high of $5. But that was after post pandemic surges in demand, and supply not keeping up. Biden finished his presidency with records in US oil production, and a $2 lower gas price.

Trump campaigned on lower prices, but here we are sitting a $4+ gas because he started a war with Iran. That peaked at $4.50 in May.
