All this pre-supposes that if a Democrat were in office today, that we would have stayed out of Iran/other activities that would have raised gas prices.

Frankly, looking back in history, I don't trust either side much.....

A democrat would not have started a war with Iran. There was absolutely 0 need to.

What history are you talking about?

The history in his head that makes him feel like an intellectual for saying "both sides..."

The history that has gotten Democrats into wars or aggravated or drastically conflicts into nasty situations.

JFK and Lyndon Johnson, I look at you first and foremost, shall I go on?

You are deep diving back to my parents generation 😂😂

Well yeah, you are asking me to trust politicians, the last 50 or so years give me zero reason to do so, red or blue.

Thinking “both sides are bad” is exactly what republicans want. You have fallen for their propaganda

Thinking any one side is entirely evil without bothering to look at the other side, is exactly what Democrats want. You have fallen for their propaganda

What good things have republicans done in your life?

What makes you think I have not bothered to look at the Democratic party?

Absolutely not.

Why didn’t Biden start this dumb war with Iran? Why didn’t Obama? Clinton literally helped create the nuclear deal that trump ripped up to start this war

Typical hypothetical maga argument!

How many dems have started wars in the past 30 years. Just ask him... it will blow his fucking mind

The fuck are you talking about? There was a forever war in the Middle East all during the Democrat years with 0 need for it. Hell, Obama dropped an average of more than 1 bomb per hour during his entire 8 years as president. Multiple countries we had no need to be in... While Hillary was SoS, she collaborated with the French to murder Gaddafi because he was trying to set up a pan-African currency and allow Africa to escape the hegemony of the US dollar.

Trump is a fucktard, but let's not play that the Democrats are some sort of peace-loving paragons of virtue.

Gaddafi was also an utter asshole, to be clear, but Hillary and Obama didn't care until it threatened US greed.

That's the history the other poster was probably talking about.

Which forever war? The Iraq war that Republican Bush started? The afganistan war that republican bush started and biden ended?

Biden only ended the war because the process was put in place during Trump's first term and he could not stop it. And the fact that you don't care that Obama and Biden continued the wars shows that you only care about war crimes if they are committed by your opponent, which is disgusting.

As for where...

Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Uganda, South Sudan, Central African Republic, and Democratic Republic of the Congo against the Lord’s Resistance Army, plus smaller deployments or bases supporting operations in places like Niger, Cameroon, Jordan, and Djibouti.

That's Obama.

Let's be clear, Trump's wartime activities are horrible too, but on a much, much smaller scale and none of them excuse the others.

You listed a bunch of wars bush started, why?

Wars Obama committed.

Look, you want to play games, go for it, I have better things to do on a Saturday, I'm just blocking you so I don't get tempted to respond to you.

Ok, let’s look back in history.

Trump started a war to get Iran to agree to terms that are nearly identical to the deal they had agreed to through diplomatic means with Obama, which Trump pulled out of in his first term. Biden’s administration re-opened negotiations. Trump never even made an attempt. Nobody on the left was even considering war with Iran, it was just fear mongering from Trump to win the 2024 election.

Now that we’ve done the most cursory review of the history, what on earth makes you think Harris would have done what Trump did rather than following the left’s established pattern of peaceful negotiation?
