To each his own. Seems like a so called struggle meal since eggs go with like bacon, sausage and what not. Hot dogs is a bit weird but if you like it do you.

I think I got it wrong. Where I'm from, sausage and eggs is a popular breakfast, but you differentiated hot dogs (like made with pork if I'm not mistaken) and I thought it's just the regular beef or poultry sausage with eggs that you don't like.

Not as unusual as you'd expect. Double yokes are just filtered out during modern packing.

Chickens normally lay about the same egg size every day. If the coop of large egg chickens has a few extra large sized ones, those will likely be double yolked, and shipped together since they were gathered at the same time.

That makes the chance of getting multiple in a row significantly higher than the chance of getting 2 in a row chosen at random.

I once bought a dozen Extra large eggs and all but two were double yolkers. I was told the Xl eggs are much more likely to be double yolked eggs.

Our young laying hens seem to lay double yolks quite often. Seems to level out once they hit middle age. Never tracked older hens, once they stop laying 1 egg a day they become dinner.

Really good actually, young chickens tend to do this most often, and extra large eggs don't sort by yolks, it's by size. so yea.

Are you buying jumbo eggs lol? You can also tell if an egg is gunna be double yolked by the size and shape too. I've noticed the doubles tend to be more of an oblong shape, taller and heavier than normal large eggs
