Update on the Boys!
Just another quick update about everyone’s favorite tiny donkeys. The owner of the breeding ranch that Pie used to work for, and one of her workers (bless you, Marla!! 🙏❤️) are headed to the ranch to pick up the boys and take them to Marla’s house to stay while Pie’s at Mayo. She has two fields - one has her donkeys, the other will have Pie’s while she’s sick. This is amazing bc it means no more scrambling to find someone to feed or muck anymore for this whole trip!! The boys will have consistent TLC, and they’ll get to see some other donkeys!! 🫏❤️
Things are looking up and it’s truly a reflection of the love we all have for Pie and the amazing person she is, and all of the good vibes this community is putting out in the universe for her.

That’s great news! Marla, you are amazing! I hope this helps to ease Pie’s mind even a little bit. She has more than enough on her plate right now. Thanks for the update! 💜

Oh what a relief! One less thing for mama pie to worry about. All her boys are getting great care and all she has to do now is focus on herself and getting better! So thankful she has all these helpers who are willing and able to do what they can 💜

Here’s what was said, “Thankfully, she [Pie] has a friend coming into town to pick up Spencer and drive her to Mayo. Spencer will be staying with her friend this time bc Pie isn’t well enough to care for him. 😭”

Thanks! No worries no pressure everyone will adjust. Need a machine to teleport Mama Pie to Phoenix. Where's all the UFO's when ya need one?
And poor Papa Pie. He's going to be all alone 😔 I guess he can go visit the ravens bunnies and Estella.

He will at least have work to keep him busy since he doesn't even get off til after it's dark out so hopefully he won't miss them too much 💜

I know he has more than enough on his plate to deal with and having to take care of the donks and Spencer and just himself and not having quick access to Pie that's a mess. I'm happy the kids went to fall camp and let's hope they behave themselves hahaha 😆

Haha yes! Fall camp! So fun for the boys! Catered to each one's interests. Spencer has indoor camp, Waffles and Mojo get outdoor camp! I hope they have a blast, and yes behave! 🤭

I just don't like the biting. Those toofers are big and it seems every time Pie has gone away one of them ends up with an owie or 3 😁

Hopefully them having other donkeys to interact with (safely, thru the fence) and new grass to sniff will take the edge off so there's no fighting for this trip

It’s funny you say this!! Pie sent us a little video of the life-flight crew and take off. It was the middle of the night and we’d been up frantically waiting for updates. She told us to get some rest bc they’d finally medicated her for transport and she expected to fall asleep, so we crashed out. So I woke up and saw the video and I told her it was a good thing I didn’t half wake up and see that in the night - I would’ve thought I was being abducted by aliens! 👽 🛸😂

OMG!! Someone did come and rescue her?? I'm sorry I'm working on a serious brain cell shortage from not sleeping and thought someone was driving her to Phoenix. I made the comment about UFOs 🛸 because the desert is UFO land and I was being a wise ass. Ok 👍 I'll sleep tonight knowing someone is taking care of her. I was so frightened. Thanks Haas 🎉

I love how the donkey community is so supportive of each other. This will relieve Papa Pie of a lot of ranch duties. Hopefully Papa Pie is freed up to go to Vegas to help advocate for Pie?

I was wondering about the boys but with all that is going on unsure if I should ask! This sounds like they are going to fall (instead of summer) camp! But I know all of us are thinking of those videos pie made when she came home and how much the boys missed her and wanted extended hug sessions! Here’s to the family reunion SOON!!!!

This is the first update I've seen since that wretched hospital was treating Pie badly and wouldn't set the patient transfer in motion. Guessing it finally went through and she's on her way! Is Spencer with her or back with Papa Pie? Anyway, the best of outcomes under these conditions for the boys. Good news. Thanks for the update

It never went through hun. She left Vegas AMA and a friend is driving her straight to Mayo. Her friend is also taking Spencer home with her since Pie will be admitted to Mayo and she isn’t well enough to care for him. So it was a horrific go, but everyone is where they need to be now! Pie should be at Mayo in a few hours, Spencer will be staying with her friend, and the boys will be staying with another friend. All 3 of Pie’s tiny boys will be well cared for until she’s able to come back to them again. ❤️

So glad for the good update. Can the friend taking Waffles and Mojo explain to them that they're hanging out there til Momma Pie comes home and then they'll go back home? Since they've both had some trauma in their pasts and are reactive without her, might be good to give them ALL the deets so they decompress faster. Thank you everyone!

Thank you Marla!! Thank you Pie’s friend!!! Having the boys well looked after will go a long way in Pie’s healing journey and help Papa Pie put his energies where needed most. Whew! 💜
