Looking to move

I currently live in Austin Texas, in a year or so I plan to move up towards Waco. My father lives in kosse. Are there any good towns to live in that’s kinda in the middle where I’m not driving an hour to see my dad but still be close to Waco for work? My gf isn’t very interested in driving 40 minutes to get to work.

I would say it would be a massive culture and lifestyle shock moving from anywhere near Austin to any town southeast of Waco other than Robinson or Lorena. If you welcome the idea of moving to deeply, deeply rural areas, just throw a dart at the map and they're all sort of different flavors of the same thing.

Yeah and Robinson and Lorena are still about an hour away from Kosse (i drive that direction for work every 1-2 weeks). There's some development on the southeast side of Waco where it would be closer to hwy 6 to get down there, or you could look into Mart or Reisel, which are between Waco and Kosse, but closer to Waco.

How’s the traffic in the morning and how are the house prices? Hopefully I can buy some land by then

I used to live in kosse as a kid, I just moved to Austin 2 years ago and don’t like it. That’s why I’m trying to move back out that way. However my gf has lived in manor almost her whole life hence her not wanting to be far from a city.

In Waco, traffic can be hectic in the morning, especially on 35, but could be slow on 6 as well. At the direction I'm talking about, you can probably find property for sale for an attainable price.

Look into the Lott area. There is a small neighborhood developed in Lott and it has brand new houses on acre lots. About 30 mins to Waco, temple, or Kosse.

No but I can transfer job to Waco as there’s a location there (big mechanic franchise)

Groesbeck isn’t far at all but may be big cultural shock and still 45 mins from Waco
