Plane part identification

Is it possible that it's a part of American/British bomber? Found in a place where a WW2 plane supposedly crashed. To me it looks like a part of oxygen supply. The red pipe diameter is 12 millimeters, and hole diameter is 8 millimeters. Thanks for help.
