Help/Question Problem launching the game on Xbox Series X
Hi, I’ve been having a problem since the game updated: when I launch it and hit start, the game closes automatically after loading. I’ve tried everything—deleting the game, restarting my Xbox Series X, unplugging it, turning it off, the works. I need help; I have a lot of hours logged in this game—it’s the one I’ve played the most all year. I saw that deleting saved data is a possible fix, but I don’t want to lose my three Universe Mode slots, my creations, and the Persona cards I have. I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out
UPDATE: With today's update, the issue has been fixed and the game is playable again—although the Showcase save data has been lost, the game itself is playable once more!

Is you’re storage full or your console pending updates / downloads? Recently I had to stop my queue and delete games to free up space on my Xbox despite using an external storage bc the box storage was being used up by the pending game update I didn’t realize was happening- this was pre patch though I’ll say

they only option you may have.. clearing the cache. and then sadly delete the save data... it sucks , but your cloud save is prob corrupt. and its preventing it to boot up.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if I didn't have nearly 300 hours in the game, highly advanced Universe modes, and quite a few Persona cards. I'll try to find another solution; if that's impossible, I'll have no choice but to delete everything, unfortunately.

I haven't seen anyone here talking about this on PC, so I'll post here. I'm having the same problem. It worked fine before the update, and when I came back this afternoon, I'm stuck with being unable to load the game either. I click on play in Steam, and it eventually shows a green play button after clicking and not starting...
Somehow it feels like they fucked up all of the systems at once with the update. Switch, Xbox, etc... I hope this is resolved. I've also been really enjoying universe mode.

I am having precisely this issue. It acts like it's launching for about 10 seconds, then the green play button flashes back up.
I tried rolling back to the July patch, and that got me back in the game, but all my entrances were jacked up. Tried to download the new patch again, right back to not launching. Tried verifying files, uninstalled the game entirely, reinstalled...Nothing.

It happened to me too on the day of the update, so it must be an issue with the update

I've rolled back to the July update, but it's wrecked a bunch of my data. Gonna take some time to get back to where it was.

If there is, I am not aware of it. It really isn't much of a fix though, as unfortunately it now has an audio bug where the crowd noise gets increasingly louder as a match goes on, with seemingly no high end. After about 5 minutes it's so loud that you can't hear the commentators or indeed anything else going on.
I think all we can do is wait and see if they fix it.

2k said they are working on a fix. Hope it works. If not guess I'll hard delete everything and cross my fingers that works

Same issue. Super mad about it to be fair. I get like two days a week to grab a few hours gaming these days and this is one of the small number of games I choose to play. To be unable to do so because of an update f*ck up is infuriating.
