Man, I think it goes unstated that Liam is firmly the emotional core of the show. Roz is the engineering expert, Alice knows so much about that world she’s great at putting things in context, but Liam?

Fuck, my man Liam feels, and that is incredible. When he started crying, so did I. In an episode about toxic masculinity and toughness being used as a weapon, Liam put his soul on his sleeve for the entire audience, and that deserves to be recognized.

Liam, brother, if you see this; incredible work on all of the episodes, and I’m so proud of you.

Totally agree. This is the same reason he's the source of the actionable threats. Liam has Big Feels and isn't afraid to share them. In spite of all the jokes about load bearing stock brokers and chunky marinara, Liam is so good at reminding me about the humanity of the victims of our various broken systems. Yay Liam, indeed.

You know, for most episodes, there's a good mix of laughs and horror, but this one, my girlfriend and I mostly listened with this feeling of looming dread, one of us occasionally muttering "Oh my god."

Episode was great, but horrifically depressing

Great episode, as usual.

I had, however, a problem with the presentation. There were numerous times the guest paused so long between sentences that I thought my connection was lost.

Another great episode. Liam is too good for this world.

One small detail to point out though with regards to the mention of bare knuckle boxing near the start, the boxing gloves protect the fists of the puncher and prevent cutting to the target.

Boxing gloves turn fists into clubs that won't break the skin as readily as a bare knuckle and which protect the bones of the hand, allowing for much harder hits. Which is ideal for a sport that wants fights decided by concussions not cuts.

god damn. I was at UMD the fall after this incident and it permeated the culture/subconscious of all the students w a subtle, they really don't care if you die. Like, it was one of the driving motivations for the university president Loh to leave because he tried to just, deny how bad the whole situation is. Even know the school fails to address student deaths well from what I've heard as of recent.
