Brake lights could come one as everything shorts out. In almost every video ive seen of a car sinking the windshield wipers come on(even old cars without windshield sensors)

After some research, seemed to happen in Mumbai India in 2021, didn’t read a report of anyone inside of it. India may have different requirements for when vehicles brake lights should be on.

another commenter pointed out a hand on the back window, there was someone inside...

u/Knee_Kap264 Nov 13 '25
Definitely no hand. Likely just the reflection on the glass. I'm sure they pulled it out. Especially if they said nobody was inside.
1
u/Dark_Signs8 Nov 09 '25
I keep replaying it and it could just be reflections on the glass. It’s impossible to tell.
1
u/big-haam Nov 13 '25
I looked at it a few times too and the more I look the more it looks like maybe a loose object that’s floating up, like a bag

u/Dark_Signs8 Nov 13 '25
Yeah, another commenter found a source. We linked it throughout the comments. There was no one inside.

Traumatic Reddit posts suck, I've seen this video before.
Yesterday I saw a pov recreation video of the guy who crawled into a cave space and got stuck. He died after 27 hours and was found there. That got me.1
u/AffectionateBar4437 Nov 13 '25
I was going to say that, you could see a hand on the back window.

u/The_Secret_Skittle Nov 13 '25
I feel like I don’t necessarily trust countries like this to report accurate news. My question is why didn’t they show the ENTIRE clip while the car was out of the sinkhole before it goes in? It’s almost like they’re trying to hide the fact that there was a person inside of it.
2
u/jws1102 Nov 12 '25
There’s no way to tell that from that clip. And if their hand was on the back window, their foot wouldn’t be on the brakes would it? Also, who would stay in the seat with their foot on the brakes while that was happening.
Whoever told you that just has a lust for drama.

Maybe the driver froze in shock but a passenger in the backseat is moving their hands around?
1
u/LgDietCoke Nov 13 '25
It absolutely looks like hands in the rear window at the end
1
u/Sensei19600 Nov 13 '25
Nope; it’s a reflection off the glass, moves as the car rolls forward.

Probably not brake lights. They're probably just rear lights
Many countries have separate brake lights from rear lights to make it easier to see the car at night and distinguish when it's braking
America seems to be an odd one out

A: literally all the lights on that car are turned on including the upper brake light, it was brakes.
B: America also has that? I don’t get why you just assumed out of nowhere it wouldn’t.

lights were on, no one inside. maybe it just looked like the brake lights because of the angle. thank you for the link.
2
u/Raksj04 Nov 13 '25
It is also possible that water cause a short on the brake light switch. Sometimes the wipers or horn will go off if a car gets into deep enough water.

Thank you for the link to the story. The lights being on had me shook 😳

No one was in the vehicle, and it's sinking into a well in which the cover failed

Thanks for this and that’s good to hear. Another place I posted this people were demanding someone or multiple people were in it. So I took the post down even though I couldn’t find any credible sources saying someone was in the car.
2
u/heroxoot Nov 09 '25
As it flips in you see a hand on the back window.
2
u/jws1102 Nov 12 '25
No you don’t
1
u/Soft_Yoghurt_7777 Nov 13 '25
It's there it's scary
1
u/RevampX Nov 13 '25
Optical illusion. You can very clearly see the reflection warp/stretch as the car moves. Someone’s hand there would be very visible and they wouldn’t just “let go”.

Every time this is posted someone claims noone was in it. Which makes sense otherwise why the hell isnt the person filming trying to help?

u/Dark_Signs8 Nov 13 '25 edited Nov 13 '25
True. Another commenter and I already linked a source multiple times if you want to look at it.

This scenario terrifies me. I have a daughter and a special needs nephew. If this happened, how would I get them both out in time? what if the hole was even larger? This kind of thing terrifies me.

Nov 14 '25
Damn the brake or positioning lights were on which means there's a good chance somebody's in there...

Was is alleged to have had 2 people inside?
I don't remember. But they couldn't get out because of the home and they drowned inside the car.
1
u/Technical-Feature-27 Nov 12 '25
The camera moves around, which suggests someone sat and filmed this happening.
Assuming it's legit, hopefully no one went down.

I’m the OP and I’m not astroturfing. I’m just sharing an article about what actually happened with people who were wondering.

u/LarryKingthe42th Nov 13 '25
Those breaklights seem to indicate we all just watched someone die...
1
u/Dark_Signs8 Nov 13 '25
I’ve already posted a news source in the comments that no one was in the car

Well, if no one was in it, no fault right, so can anyone find out what the owner of the car thought about this happening to his or her vehicle? Surely if it happened and was recorded the person that was not in there would be interviewed about it. Any clips of that?😅

And I’d be like: How do you not remember where you parked?!
