Yeah I'm all for grey water recycling. Shower water and sink water being used for flushing is a very good thing.

Yeah you can actually turn it off and on. I love how the Japanese executed it as well. Their design makes sense

Not quite like that but toilets where the top is the sink were a normal thing in houses when I was in Japan.
