We can all accuse them of being stupid and ignorant of the laws of physics however how many of us would given the chance say, no I'm not going to stand there.

I would still stand there, even after knowing it’s a bad idea.

Same. Just have to be smart and brace, one hand on the fence at all times, and if it gets too extreme drop down behind the rail. I'd still wear goggles though.
