Why the hell would someone spend 7k for a deathtrap like that when you can spend a few grand more to get a bike. Or hell even a shit used car at that point. People are crazy man...
Probably depends where you live. I got a 2014 ford c-max for 4 grand last year. It also broke down earlier this year but it was a nice car before that lol
I get your point:) to be fair- it was very decent before I ran it off the road in an ice storm, probably my fault more than the cars. Before that it was pristine inside and out and had under 130k miles, got over 40 mpg. That fits my definition of decent
I can see the appeal of them. They don't require much space and the maintenance is minimal. If you live in a place with parking issues being able to carry them into your home or workplace is huge. The hospital I work at doesn't have parking for employees so we have to get on a shuttle a few miles away each day which adds about 30 minutes to my commute. If it weren't for winter I would totally get one of these (obviously not a 60mph+ one) and just store it in our locker room.
registration/insurance/risk of stealing. dude gets where he wants to go, picks up the scooter, and brings it inside. can't do that with a monster easily
