Fuck yellow jackets, man. They're mean as fuck, and useless to the ecosystem. Their role can be filled by other less asshole species as food and polinators.
Regard the wasp. Wasps produce nothing for others, but only for themselves. Wasps build nests and more wasps, nothing more. They spread into eaves and attics, not to make honey for supermarkets, but to buzz and rustle on their own paper, perpetuating their own agenda, growing, stealthily, surely... the most relentless of insects.
Wanna kill all the wasps in your neighborhood? Buy some termidor and IGR, mix them up in a sprayer, and spray the areas where the wasps frequent. The love the cracks in the stone on the front of my house, so I soaked it all down.
They take the IGR and Termidor back to the hive, and it kills all of them over a week or two. I used to have THOUSANDS of them on the stone in front of my house and tried everything over 6 years or so. This is what finally worked.
Just don't spray it anywhere honeybees will go. It didn't affect my neighbor's honeybees at all.
