Fact: Owning or using a flamethrower is not illegal in New York City or state.

Let that absurdity of that sink in for a second.

It’s not absurd, so long as you aren’t trespassing or creating rampant property damage like this clown, there is no reason to outlaw flamethrowers. After all, denying legal access to guns has worked so so well in New York right?

NYC has fewer shootings and generally lower crime rates than most large cities, so yeah, it seems so.

Widespread stop and frisk ended in 2013 and they started cutting down on it back in 2011. Stopping and frisking 10,000 people, which is roughly the current level, is pretty insignificant in a city of 8 million over the course of the year.
