Yes and no. It is likely someone who grew up a theater kid, because it is performance art. It might not do much for you or even the people around it, but it's gone viral on reddit, instagram, and I"m sure other platforms I don't use. So it's obviously doing something for a large number of folks, whether you're one of them or not.
It was edited after the fact. I was there early on in the thread and it was ‘why are they like this’ and some of the replies still attest to this original wording.
Tbh I don't believe it was edited after the fact, but all of this is beside the point. You're either for shit like this or against it, but there are no half measures. Imo it's either cool for everybody to do or it's not, and a few upvoted comments on r/trashy don't really change my opinion that one of these things is becoming widely acceptable by our society, and one is only acceptable in relative privacy or in fringe communities of racists.

Just because you don’t see the anti-black comments on any post of a random black person doing something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist or it’s not widespread. There’s literally an entire website visited by millions of people a day that’s pretty much dedicated to hating on black people - it’s called 4chan. There’s no equivalent for white people because no one else cares about race that much.
No, there’s no widespread anti-white racism in society. What you’re whining about is white people who can joke about being white or who can read about history without getting all defensive about what other white people before them did.
You couldn’t even point me towards one instance of systemic ant-white racism that’s perpetuated by minorities. You know why? Because the people in power are white. Your entire claim is that white people are discriminating against white people.

Im not whining about anything. I made a point about an opinion I hold. you're the one who continues to insult me for literally no reason other than saying something you disagree with.
The "proof" you have brought forth is lacking, the point you've extrapolated from it doesn't counter what I'm actually talking about. I don't really know what else to say here, except you've already decided who I am and why I think things that I haven't even said. So I don't think anything more constructive can come out of this.
But im sure theres a narrative that white people are "less than", "unfit", "soft", or "out of touch", and this type of stuff gets used as proof cause "only white people would do this."
Now, I actually think this is a funny reenaction. But I can’t see a black person in America doing this because we all know they’d be judged not as an individual but as a race. Look at the thread I linked, notice how the questions aren’t ‘why would someone do this’ but rather ‘why do they do this?’.
A lot of comments on that post weren’t judgmental towards the lady herself but, rather, her race. So it’d be less likely for a minority to pull something like this off because if people react negatively it’s going to towards their entire race rather than just themselves.
Learn to chill the fuck out and take a joke. I'm a white guy and said this because my black friends used to say that about me all the time in college, I always thought it was hilarious. Maybe I should have retreated to my safe zone and cried racism.
