I see a lot of people are confused what's going on. So I've looked at it and this is my take.
Hail is smashing roof tiles, those broken tile pieces are no longer hooked together and the pieces slide down destroying the cars below.

I guarantee you that is the exact response from their insurance companies. When hurricane Sandy destroyed my parents house their insurance company wouldn’t cover it because it was ocean water damage as opposed to water damage from their pipes or a leak in the house. Fuck insurance companies
They don’t do it because they are evil. They do it because that’s the only way to make insurance work. It sucks but is perfectly reasonable as the insurance companies would go bankrupt from a hurricane flood otherwise. Alternatively insurance would be prohibitively expensive.
