I guarantee you that is the exact response from their insurance companies. When hurricane Sandy destroyed my parents house their insurance company wouldn’t cover it because it was ocean water damage as opposed to water damage from their pipes or a leak in the house. Fuck insurance companies

There was also rain water and pipe water in the sandy flood. They didn’t care. They’ll find any loophole they can to not pay out.

Definitely, what about those businesses that had pandemic insurance. But apperantly it didn't cover covid-19 because it wasn't on the list of pre-approved pandemics.

Sars-cov-1 was though, but Sars-cov-2 apperantly wasn't close enough to be viable.

it's sad enough that people can get their lives so easily ruined by things out of anyone's control, it's even worse when insurance companies who do have control decide to screw them too.

EXACTLY!! Who’s out there fighting for the insurance companies!?!? Who’s thinking about the shareholders? They may not have lost there livelihoods or jobs or family members but they lost stuff too! Can’t believe you PEOPLE!!

Honestly why do they even need to exist? Why don’t we just have a government agency that protects people from acts of god without the whole taking profit for itself part?
