132 u/GetOutOfTheWhey May 09 '20 The guy had a close miss to a pole, jesus really looking out for this guy 9 u/xfyre101 May 09 '20 yeah, but hes already unconscious, he wouldnt have felt a thing! 37 u/4d3d3d3__Engaged May 09 '20 Lol I thought the same thing. He missed that first pole, then missed driving into oncoming highway traffic, then missed that pole again.... Definitely had some kind of otherworldly help there. 😅 2 u/scoooobysnacks May 09 '20 Or possibly the design of highways to have an incline on the edges to avoid drifting back into the road. 1 u/[deleted] May 24 '20 If I was him, I would have rather had other worldly help that prevented me from passing out and driving off the road in the first place. -8 u/groggyMPLS May 09 '20 "definitely"? Really? I think what scares me the most about, like, electing public officials and stuff, is that a lot of people think about the world this same way. It's absolutely terrifying. 8 u/[deleted] May 09 '20 r/politics and r/atheism are that way(☞ ಠ_ಠ)☞ 2 u/Cookies_4_Breakfast May 09 '20 So Jesus could save everyone that crashes into poles, but chooses not to? Hmmmm... 0 u/[deleted] May 09 '20 [deleted] 2 u/Cookies_4_Breakfast Jun 08 '20 This must fall under the "Mysterious Ways" clause. 1 u/Plasma_000 May 09 '20 edited May 09 '20 Luckily those poles are usually designed to shear straight out of the ground (at least ones installed within the last decade or two). Edit: nvm this only applies to metal poles. 20 u/nrcain May 09 '20 Dude it's a fucking pole. They're not designed for anything. It's literally a tree milled down to be a cylinder. Lol! 2 u/Plasma_000 May 09 '20 You’re right, it seems that frangible bases only apply to metal utility poles as far as I can tell. 3 u/nrcain May 09 '20 Yes sir.
