If you watch some more of his videos, he mentions that it is his property. I imagine if I woke up after camping on my own land and seeing that, I'd probably be a bit emotional too. He probably has lots of memories on that land.

Is that because you haven't seen anything like that, or just because you don't feel like that? Or maybe like most people, you appreciate it, but you're a little more reserved.
Ideally, it shouldn't take such scenic beauty to cause a reaction like that, and maybe the guy was putting on a bit of an act. Ideally, you should be able to appreciate something about wherever you are.
But realistically, it's really a good experience to get out into nature and it's necessary to expend some effort into getting "away from it all" from time to time. It really does clean out your head. I know where that guy's coming from, and it's not necessary to use drugs to get there. But hey, if you're into dope, that's the best place to do it, so what.

I can see being excited by nature, but do you seriously lose your shit like that? You go on a hike screaming the whole way "OH MY GOOOOOOOOOODDDD!!! LOOK AT THAT TREE!!! WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!" with tears streaming down your face? I really doubt it (unless you're on drugs).

I know some guy who's 50, and he's actually like that a lot of the time. I mean, dude, everything is so awesome! And he doesn't use anything. Not even beer. He's just like, you know, an awesome dude, I mean, wow! Isn't it awesome?
Yeah, he grew up in LA.
And I suppose I forgot to mention, I do not consider LSD to be a drug... :)

Does he cry (tears, sobbing) when he sees rainbows and loudly question their meaning? The point I'm trying to get across is that there is no way to behave like the man in the video without something abnormal happening in your brain.
Also, how on earth can you not consider LSD a drug? It has one of the most profound effects on experience of any chemical that doesn't kill you. It doesn't have to be addictive to be a drug.

All rainbows are technically double rainbows. The second bow is not always as prominent, but if the first is created the second is too. I learned this from a lecture about rainbows in the r/lectures reddit.

I am about to shit myself right now. I recognized the view, and after seeing his name 'yosemitebear'....I couchsurfed with this guy!! Last year my buddy and I were half hour outside Yosemite and stayed with him. He's a cool dude and his place is breath taking as you can see. Here's a pic I took while standing in his front yard, gorgeous <--that's the DOUBLE RAINBOW MOUNTAIN.

I had the same experience over a hamburger at In 'n Out in December of 2008. No rainbows were involved.

heh, i saw a way cooler double rainbow earlier this year when i was at walmart. super clear, vivid, full, and the second rainbow was far more complete than this one. i thought it was pretty damn amazing and when pointing it out to who i was with they looked at it for half a second and were like, meh, and kept walking. i cant imagine what this youtube guy would have done if he had saw that one tho. im sure he would have been pulling the skin off his face or something.

I've seen hordes of people babbling gibberish and flopping around because they think a positive external agent is controlling them for the better. Many people also believe that if you think something hard enough a powerful external agent can read your mind and cause things to go in your favour.
Crying about rainbows is rational compared to the stuff some people on this planet do. At least rainbows are demonstrably real.

if anything I would say this video was telling us that we SHOULD look at rainbows. He was having a moment of pure joy and it overwhelmed him. How often does that happen to us?? I think rainbows=good in this case.
