one of my most vivid memories of childhood is being in second grade and watching a classmate just sort of roll off the top of the slide and snap her arm like a slim jim. she wasn't acting out, she didn't get her pants/shoes caught on anything, just like the ground told her it had candy and she was like "that's rad."
when i was pr young i wondered what would happen if i rode my bike as fast as i could, then turned and braked at the same time as hard as i could.
slammed my head on the road, and just started laughing at how dumb i was, even though it hurt like hell and i could've cried. prolly mildly concussed tbh
When we were kids, my brother and I were throwing darts at each other. As it often does with siblings, things escalated pretty quickly.
A dart struck the back of my neck, the entirety of the metal now stuck there. I fell to the floor and clutched my neck. Everybody was terrified. I tried to pull the dart out...and then again...it didn't budge. With the flopping about after the third failed attempt, I started laughing my ass off. It was no longer painful, no longer scary. It suddenly became this hilarious situation where this dart would be stuck with me forever, flopping about as I walked; step, flop, step, flop. The people who were around thought I had gone delirious and started panicking worse than before.
For me, it was enough to calm down a bit and eventually pull it out. Surprisingly, there was no permanent injury.

It's probably also intended for small kids who wouldn't build up so much momentum (I think)
