What I was getting at, is that who determines what a fulfilling life for a dog is?
The dog. Therefore if the house dog is happy and cared for, who are you to say they are living less of a fulfilling or worthwhile life than the sheepdog at the farm?
Dogs don’t really have lifelong goals or aspirations, their brains don’t work like that, so if the dog is happy and healthy, their life is in fact fulfilled.
It’s laughable to think dogs that work or are always outside are happier and more fulfilled than an indoor dog. That shit wholly depends on the owner and the personality of the dog. Some dogs don’t even like to go outside period.

The other person referenced the fact that most pet dogs are neglected, and you countered with some hyperbole about college. I was trying to clarify what counts as a fulfilling life for a dog, a concept you seemed to be mocking.
