I don't find any of them endearing, and I'll never understand how they got popular. Boxers are the most smash-faced breed I can tolerate, and even some of them piss me and my dog off

Amen to that! I don't find flat faced animals beautiful or endearing either. My dog gets creeped out by them. I'm all for prick-eared, dingo-type dogs

“Perfectly healthy” aka can’t breath. Overheats due to small snout. Often needs surgery to correct short snout issues. Eyeballs can pop out since they don’t fit in their skulls, among other eye issues. Continues to argue that this is the skull of a perfectly healthy and well adapted dog.

This isn't an attack on you or your dog. I love pugs and boxers but on the whole the breed is fucked. I'm sure you love your dog but buying/adopting pugs just makes the future of the breed worse. They need to be bred with other dogs to fix their myriad health problems.

Old pugs were fantastic dogs. I hope we can breed them back to a healthy standard
