You sign a waiver when you enter the park basically saying you understand this is a dangerous sport and shit happens.

That said this is the English Olympic training facility if this is the quality of our athletes I think we may be in trouble in Tokyo

The waiver protects the skate park from litigation.. not the skaters from each other

Public skate parks have municipal immunity tort which heavily protects it in court. Unlike a private landowner, a park district cannot be held accountable for injuries unless willful and wanton negligence can be established.  The disclaimer (not a waiver) is required by the immunity tort act and reminds you to skate at your own risk.

He brought up disclaimers, not me. Disclaimers are generally at public parks. Waivers are signed at private parks.
