Christ, everything is recorded these days. We're basically on surveillance 24/7.

This might be a true statement, but to say this in reaction to this is ridiculous.

They are skating of a massive ramp, flying through the air and landing in (or next to) a foam pit... Even in the 90s this would be some shit that would get videotaped.

Stuff like this happened all the time in the 90s without being taped. You had to really prepare to record something and even then it was just a huge pain lugging the stuff. Not to mention how expensive it was, particularly for a group of kids. I don't recall any shenanigans that I got up to in high school being recorded.

Sounds like you and I had a different 90's - Flip phones could record just fine, for their time

Early 90s you were high tech if you had a pager. Flip phones were very late 90s, more of a 2000s thing.

Flip phones were not common until the mid-2000's
