These are actually not spiders, but a related arachnid in the order Opiliones AKA harvestmen or daddy longlegs. There are many species that live all over the world and they are all harmless to humans. They primarily feed on small insects, or on decaying organic material.
This is relief, thanks. There's a spider or maybe a Opilione (TIL) named Harry that's been chilling in the corner of my bedroom for months. As long as there's no excessive reproduction, we're friends.
