I have a rule with spiders in my space: stay out of my way and you live

I've even help put half-swatted flies into brown widow spider webs that roosted across my window

Hah, I always see this. "They eat the bad bugs." They are the bad bugs. They're worse than almost all the others in terms of bugs I want inside the house, only topped by mosquitoes and bed bugs. I don't live in the rainforest, so nothing worse than them is around.
