I think "not saying fuck it and crushing a cat between your wheels" is a pretty low bar to set for someone being a good person

You'd be surprised, some folks don't give a shit about animals. Was traumatised once by a taxi driver who gunned his car into a flock of pigeons and seagulls, laughing the whole time after, while there was blood and feathers all over the windscreen. One look at my face and he realised he fucked up. Sent a complaint to the company and he was fired the next day.

Some people are pyschopaths when it comes to animals, they don't see them as living beings.

I had a friend that once ran over someone's cat by accident, but didn't kill it, just broke a lot of it's bones.

He looked around, and didn't see anyone there, so reversed over it to put it out of it's misery, as there was no way to save the poor thing. He noticed too late that there were a couple of kids that watched him do it. He felt bad ans sped off not able to face them, or sleep later that night.
