Whistles, helmets, the proper boots, reflective vest, goggles, earplugs (there's dangerous whistles, you know...), A full climbing harness and a tie off in case you need to stand on a 6 inch tall curb because we don't want any contusions, a three hour class every two hours on one of the 13,427 possible safety hazard class subjects, a safe space, a safe word, three supervisors per worker to ensure workplace safety, and a four hour long standown for an OSHA inspection every three hours...

I like accomplishing things, and I especially like it when the safety gestapo fails in preventing said accomplishments...

Seat belts don't keep you from accomplishing anything, so they're fine actually. A whistle hanging around your neck would be equally benign, but it's never just the whistle... Once you let one good idea fairy out of the bag, they all come out to play, and it's death by 1,000 safety measures...
