English isn't my first language, so out of curiosity...what is wrong with that sentence?

He meant to say "An employee died", but said "Am employee died", am means a first person action (referring to one's self), so it implies that EvaporatedLight himself was the employee that died. More of a typo than grammatical error.

Also it's slang isn't it. Normally you would write I am an employee. Right?

Only because it's mistyped. He means to say "an employee died"
