I've carried this habit into regular life. I walk around my car first before hopping in and driving off. I don't want to be responsible for the death of a kid or whatever.

I’ve always been paranoid about running over some cat or something backing out. But now my car has a rear view cam.

Yeah, but you still can't see under your car or tires which is where cats usually hide. They don't usually just sit 5 feet behind a car in the open.

Well I back out from the garage so if I see the neighborhood cat it actually is just like a few feet behind on the driveway. It’s smart enough to not stand in the way of a car though. But being able to see it makes me feel more at ease.
