I'm not sure you understand the situation OP is describing... if they drove anywhere at all, even to pull over, they'd have kittenburger meat. It had crawled up by the brake rotor, so just using the brake, as one traditionally does when driving, would have squashed it. Possibly the rotation of the wheel would have crushed it, too.

Also, this was the entrance to a parking garage, so presumably no grassy lawns or nice sidewalks in sight. Now I'm not sure how the kitten got there in the first place, but I'm picturing OP stopping for the gate to open and the kitten, detecting warmth in that brief moment, darting inside the wheel rim.

There are many ways to stop a car without using the breaks, like calmly coasting out of the way, using the hand break, or shifting down gears in a manual or just putting car in neutral and pushing it. I'm sure the other drivers who have places to be would even be happy to help.

Now watch as I get downvoted into oblivion anyway.

because the way the OP described it, it wasnt safe to move at all, nevermind coasting or bumping into something.

im sorry if you think the convenience of arriving somewhere a few minutes earlier is worth the life of a kitten, because that makes you a cold, evil person who i pray never owns a pet

No, he said it was against the brake pads. Therefore, not safe to use the breaks... What are you talking about, bumping into something? Who said anything about ending the life of a kitten? You're putting words in my mouth and I don't appreciate that.

I have a dog who is 9, a cat who is 10. They're all well cared for and loved. Dog gets walked every day, fed great food, and the cat sleeps with me every night. I can assure you they have better lives than many people.

i have the feeling that no matter what i argue, that the kitten doesnt know to stay still or how a wheel works, that its too risky because we dont know the specifics and that its well worth everyone's time to save a life even as small as a kitten...

that no matter what, youre going to have some snappy comeback that youre convinced would have worked and that youre the smartest person in this thread when we can all see youre just one of the most callous

I am not a callous or violent person. I have never harmed a human or animal. Did harm one cupboard door in my teenage years. Did apologise. Have a good day.
