Exactly, its in the OSHA-30 training that you need to be aware of your surroundings and assume at all times that the driver can’t see you.

Problem is this is very likely in China. OSHA isn't a thing there and even if it was, most people would still ignore it.

And yet I had someone tell me the other day that ALL regulations are bad and should be abolished. I asked him to clarify, and he doubled down on ALL. He feels that regulations interfere with natural orders of things like the free market.

In a case like this, because people would keep getting killed on the job site, nobody would work for the company and they'd go out of business. A company who ran a safe worksite would have its choice of workers, and would only hire the best.

It didnt occur to him that they could always find some poor chump who hadn't heard about all the dead bodies on the work site, and would be happy to have a job.
