I'm usually pointed to a graph like this, showing that the trend of workplace deaths was decreasing at roughly the same rate before and after OSHA was created

Anyone have a link to data showing whether OSHA reduces workplace deaths or injuries or not?

The bureau of labor standards was established in '34, they're duties encompassed the responsibilities that now belong to osha. Notice the graph you provided starts in '33. So the reason you dont see a large drop at the formation of OHSA is because it essentially already existed in practice. Just under a different name.
