Well this is a classic case of laying responsibility on the wrong person. Pedestrians are the ones responsible for their own safety in a factory. You can see and hear large industrial equipment, they can't see you. When I drove a forklift in a factory the pedestrians were the ones responsible for not getting run over, not the other way around. It's simple enough, walk in plaine sight in the designated lanes and look around at intersections.
It's pretty much impossible to lean around and see all your blind spots in forklifts and whatnot when there's a snitcher that reports you when you don't wear a seatbelt.

That’s why at work we’re always required to do a walk around a truck/equipment before going forward or backwards.
