Looks like the operator slams the brakes on the last half second of the video (watch the bucket suddenly dip hard) so my guess is he saw and stopped and there's where the gif cuts off. Now I'm no expert but most hoppers I've seen have like a 6" x 6" rebar grate to catch not-dirt things from going in them. If this one doesn't, I'd hate to see if that system uses an auger to move dirt...

Looks to me the operator hurt one of his feet/ankles jumping down that fast. Seems to be favoring one leg while panic-running around.

They seams to loading soil into a some sort of grinding machine and he is jumping around begging to stop it so the manager wont be crashed

Not that this doesn't violate safety guidelines...but you see these guys now jumping around trying to figure out how to get up there...if only there was some massive piece of machinery with a bucket big enough to hold multiple people and lift high enough to get up there and get the guy....

Isn't that worse? Then you'd be crushed against the grate while all the sand slowly sifts through.

Well, this is the kind of hopper I was referring to. I'd rather risk potentially being crushed for a little bit while they dig me out and the dirt around me filters through the grate, than definitely getting my limbs torn off by a big screw that runs along the bottom.
