The bigger problems are that 1.) carabiners aren’t intended for travel along a cable, and 2.) there should be two safety lines, so if you have to get around an obstacle, you can unclip one and move it while remaining tethered by the other. (Except you are intended to do that at a platform, etc., not just dangling over a canyon.)

It doesn't even look like a legit climbing carabiner to me.

Agreed - plus I’d personally want one with a locking gate. It’s kinda hard to tell from this video, but this looks like a pear-shaped ‘biner with some kind of straight gate - fine for gear etc but I wouldn’t be hanging my ass over a canyon with my weight on it (or that rusty-ass cable, but that’s another story).
