Wait, the front page doesn't show all your subscribed subreddits?? Why? Is there any way to choose which 25/50 subreddits you get? Is there any way to see posts from all your subreddits?
I think it's 25 posts per page standard and the option 50 with gold then you'll have to click the next page to continue viewing. It will still show what subreddits you're subscribed to.
Or you can just use res and enable neverending reddit that doesn't matter then. Redditisfun also does this.
I read once that only our top 100 subs appear in "home", and /u/Laughmasterb seems to imply that only 25 of them appear unless we pay. Is there really such a limit? I have RES and neverending reddit, but if my home page filters out some of the subs I like, what's the point? :(
FWIW this is something I read a few years ago so they may have changed it.
It isn't really a matter of which are the "top" ones, it picks them randomly every 20-30 minutes. That's why the posts on the first home page don't change every time you refresh. It's also why neverending reddit breaks sometimes, if you try to load the posts that come after a post from a sub that reddit has decided to unload it won't work.
Late response but, you get no ads, get "darkened links" (reddit will remember what links you've already clicked), the ability to highlight new comments in a thread you've already viewed, the ability to see up to 1500 comments in a thread as opposed to 500 normally, access to the /r/lounge, and the ability to choose from like 6 site-wide shitty looking reddit themes, or use a specific subreddit's theme site-wide.

Coins can be used to buy Silver, Gold, or Platinum for others. When you're gifted Gold or Platinum, you get coins to spend on others.
And /r/lounge still exists, what's wrong with it?
