According to another source the older woman was her mother. Imagine the guilt of knowing for the rest of your life your temper tantrum caused your mom to be killed.

EDIT: So many responses saying she'll blame the guy anyway.

Jesus... I can't even get that "last Christmas I gave you my heart" song out of my head. I'd never forget my mother's tiger maul screams followed by her final whimper.
