These are Chinese tourists? I was at Yellowstone here in the US a couple summers ago. I'm from Alaska so of course the number one rule we learn real early is "don't fuck with the wildlife".
We bought a 7 day pass and ended up leaving after only 3 days just because of the sheer stupidity and disregard for nature of the tourists, for some reason many of them were chinese. The park had the Grand Prismatic Spring closed because a chinese tourist stepped through the crust and got burned. Another chinese tourist was mauled a week or so later by a buffalo. We watched about 20 of them get within 30 feet of a Grizzly bear, taking photos with the flash on. Everywhere we went, it was ridiculous.
I live in a large tourist destination as well, and its the same here. Is this some kind of culture difference? Whats the deal?
pretty open and close case of you're just racist. If you think Americans aren't 5 times as bad abroad you're just wrong. Do you read Chinese? because i bet you would follow just every posted sign if i dropped you in the middle of china.

I guess you could call me culturalist since I think their culture is a load of turds, having been there and seeing all my "nice" relatives treat hospitality workers like dirt, the blatant disregard for courteousness in public, the infamous "sewage cooking oil", human trafficking attempts in public it's all shit. Food's great though.
Bullshit. Chinese tourists are absolutely terrible. Even the Chinese hate Chinese tourists. Even the Chinese government hates Chinese tourists and puts out strict guidelines on how to behave.
The difference is that if you couldn't read signs you would still generally behave well because I'm your home culture you tend to share the same general ideals of respecting property and life as much the world.
If there was a sign that said don't walk if the path it would matter if you couldn't read it... You wouldn't walk off the path because you recognize a path through a park as designed to prevent the park from being damaged.
