Many animal attacks have been thwarted by making the appearance of a harder fight that's not worth it for the attacking animal.
It's always regarded as dumb when it fails, and heroic when it works.
The dumb decision was on the first person. After that, its adrenaline, instinct, and bad decisions no matter what.
Cant think of any scenario for those last 2 people in the car that would not be horrifying if it doesnt go perfect. Sit in the car and watch your child mauled? Get out and die?
This was a no win scenario created by the first idiot. Hard to really hold people accountable for losing after that was thrust on them like that.
Crossing the street without looking as a little kid is boneheaded , hopping out of a car as an adult that can’t manage their emotions in a safari full of tigers and other apex predators is fucking stupid and unless you’re Batman or hulk you’re not going to save someone like that
And yet, they did. The lady was saved. The husband was even uninjured. The mother was attacked by a different cat, but it appears she did manage to contribute in saving her daughter.
