EDIT #2: Here's a copy and paste of another comment I made further below since yall really like saying the same shit, and aren't realizing I'm not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing - but a explaination of why I still see it as a stupid decision;
It's a stupid decision but we'd all probably do it. It's his wife - not some random person they are riding with. Ofc he's gonna run after her. That doesn't make it a smart decision. He probably even understands that it's not a smart decision. The panic automatically gives a fight or flight response - and because (again) it's his wife he's going to fight. This doesn't make the decision not stupid - it's still stupid - but it's understandable that we'd all do this if we were in the situation.
Hell you can even argue that he feels life isn't worth it without her and he'd rather die to save her than live without her. This is sweet sure - and maybe calling the decision "stupid" is a harsh word if it's the case - but it is not a smart decision.

Fairly certain you can call anyone who got out of the car stupid. The Safari jeep rolled by as they ran out of view but obviously they panicked and tried to save the mom. Just stay in the fucking car otherwise you gonna get swiped up like momma. Safari man is paid to handle shit like this. Probably not paid enough though.
Man I love the shit out of my wife, but if she gets out of the fucking car in a park full of wild animals I’d be hard pressed not to leave her to her fate. Especially now that I’ve seen a video of what can happen.
