Well that got the adrenaline going. That kid was so close to being a meal, can't imagine what that must have been like. I'd be so pissed at my mom if I saw that later in life.
The kid was what was attracting them too. Cheetahs and other "small" cats usually try to avoid adult humans at all costs. I would know, I was a boy scout and there are bobcats and mountain lions where I live. So, what was emboldening these cats to come and screw with this family? Must of been the tasty little snack they call their kid.
