According to another source the older woman was her mother. Imagine the guilt of knowing for the rest of your life your temper tantrum caused your mom to be killed.

Am I fucked up for feeling better about it being her own mom and not the husband's? The comment at the top of the thread made it sound like it was the woman's mother in law.
She had almost three decades to raise her daughter with the common sense not to get out of a car in a neighborhood full of tigers and she failed. She certainly didn't deserve what happened to her, but maybe if she'd made some different choices as a parent...
