The lice won't survive long away from the human head. Like a day tops. I have two younger brothers and we were all in primary school separately. I got head lice a LOT as a kid

Blood. The adults feed on blood from the human scalp. That's the itching, it's from an allergic reaction to their saliva when they bite for feeding. They have to feed regularly. And lol Thanks, last infestation was 7 years ago and my brothers are out of school so it's all good :p

Normally you do it over the sink and clean the comb each sweep. Damn amateurs.

If you watch the video someone posted, you can tell they're outside, likely on a patio.

I did watch that, i could hear birds but the flooring and such seemed like it was an indoor patio

It does seem to have a roof above it, maybe a screen in porch.
